About the Role
Genesis Specialist Hospital, home to a premier surgical center in Lagos featuring state-of-the-art operating rooms, is seeking a dedicated Facility Technician to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis in Ikeja. In this critical role, you will ensure the seamless day-to-day operation of our hospital facilities, building systems, and specialized medical support infrastructure. You will play an essential part in maintaining a safe, sterile, and highly functional environment for our patients, clinical staff, and administrative teams.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine inspections and proactive preventive maintenance on hospital buildings, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and execute prompt corrective repairs to minimize facility downtime and mitigate safety risks.
- Collaborate closely with clinical and administrative departments to ensure surgical suites and critical care areas remain fully compliant with healthcare standards.
- Maintain accurate logs of all maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment servicing using basic computer software.
- Coordinate and supervise external contractors when specialized technical interventions are required.
- Proven practical experience in facility management, building maintenance, and comprehensive equipment repair.
- Strong troubleshooting expertise spanning electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems within a professional setting.
- Relevant technical certification, diploma, or degree in engineering, building services, or a related discipline.
- Prior working experience in a hospital or healthcare facility environment is a distinct advantage.
