About the Role
VAVA Furniture, a premier registered furniture manufacturing and interior decoration company in Nigeria, is seeking a proactive and experienced Facility Manager to oversee the efficient management, maintenance, safety, and day-to-day operations of our corporate properties. In this role, you will ensure all building systems, utilities, and common areas are fully functional, safe, and maintained to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee day-to-day operations, maintenance, and general management of company facilities and properties.
- Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance plans for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, generators, elevators, and fire safety systems.
- Conduct regular facility inspections to identify safety hazards, defects, and areas for improvement.
- Supervise maintenance personnel, technicians, cleaners, security teams, and external contractors.
- Monitor utility consumption, manage operational budgets, and evaluate vendor quotations for cost efficiency.
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, environmental, and fire regulatory standards.
- Respond promptly to facility emergencies and coordinate rapid repairs.
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Facility Management, Estate Management, Engineering, Building Technology, Architecture, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in facility management, property management, or building operations.
- Practical knowledge of building maintenance, HVAC, electrical systems, and occupational health and safety.
- Professional certification in Facility Management, Project Management, or HSE is an added advantage.
- Strong vendor management, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
