About the Role

Dangote Group, Africa's leading diversified business conglomerate, is seeking a proactive and results-driven Facilities Officer to join our dynamic team in Lagos, Nigeria. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the safety, functionality, cleanliness, and sustainability of our corporate facilities, supporting our mission of providing quality products and employment across the continent.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement facility management strategies, policies, and standard operating procedures to ensure efficient service delivery across all locations.
  • Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities for buildings, office infrastructure, utilities, and associated assets.
  • Manage environmental management activities, including waste management, drainage maintenance, fumigation, and weed control in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Ensure uninterrupted distribution and availability of potable water and maintain rigorous cleaning and hygiene schedules.
  • Supervise third-party contractors and service providers, monitoring compliance with service level agreements and safety requirements.
  • Monitor facility complaints and maintenance work orders to ensure rapid resolution and high customer satisfaction.
  • Support unit budget preparation, cost-control initiatives, and review local purchase requisitions for facility operations.
  • Conduct regular facility inspections, audits, and space allocation planning to optimize resource utilization.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of a B.Sc. or HND in Facilities Management, Engineering, Environmental Management, Estate Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • 2 to 5 years of relevant professional experience in facilities management, property management, or corporate administration.
  • Strong working knowledge of Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) statutory regulations.
  • Exceptional contractor management, vendor negotiation, and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Proven ability to handle maintenance work orders, budget tracking, and asset preservation programs efficiently.
