About the Role
Terra Energy Services Nigeria Ltd (TES) is a leading indigenous Engineering and Oil and Gas Service Company incorporated in 2001, providing integrated solutions across the energy value chain. Operating from Lagos and Port-Harcourt, we are dedicated to delivering excellence in West Africa. We are currently seeking an experienced and technically competent Well Operations Supervisor to oversee offshore operations and ensure safe, reliable, and efficient execution.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise offshore well operations, including start-up, shut-in, testing, intervention, and well integrity activities.
- Lead wellhead and Christmas tree operations, verifying the effectiveness of safety-critical well barriers.
- Coordinate slickline, e-line, coiled tubing, nitrogen lifting, well testing, and workover activities.
- Review and verify well programmes, procedures, risk assessments, permits, and isolations.
- Monitor well pressures and critical parameters, leading rapid responses to abnormal conditions.
- Coordinate activities between service companies, production teams, and offshore interfaces.
- Maintain accurate daily well operation records, reports, and technical documentation.
- Escalate well integrity concerns, operational risks, and safety issues promptly.
- HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 12 to 15 years of relevant upstream E&P experience with hands-on offshore well operations exposure.
- Valid IWCF or IADC Well Control certification at the supervisory level.
- Required safety certifications including BOSIET/HUET, valid offshore medical, H2S, and emergency response.
- Demonstrated expertise in wellhead systems, barrier management, and contractor coordination.
