To maintain our safe and welcoming academic environment, we are currently seeking a vigilant and professional Experienced Security Guard to join our campus operations team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a vital part in safeguarding our students, staff, visitors, and school property, ensuring that our campus remains a secure haven for learning and growth.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor school premises, gates, and perimeters to prevent unauthorized access, trespassing, or suspicious activities.
- Manage the visitor sign-in process, issuing proper identification badges and directing guests appropriately.
- Patrol school buildings and grounds regularly during day and night shifts to check for safety hazards, open doors, or potential security breaches.
- Control vehicular and pedestrian traffic at school entrances, ensuring the safety of children during arrival and dismissal times.
- Respond promptly and calmly to alarms, emergencies, or disturbances, taking immediate and appropriate action according to school protocols.
- Collaborate closely with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.
- Maintain accurate daily shift logs, incident reports, and visitor records.
- Proven professional experience working as a security guard, preferably within an educational institution or child-centric environment.
- Possess relevant security certifications, training, or formal qualifications as required by Nigerian security standards.
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm, observant, and decisive during high-pressure or emergency situations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a polite yet firm approach to visitor management.
- Physically fit and capable of standing for extended periods and conducting regular foot patrols.
