About the Role

Straight-Gate Publishers Limited, one of Nigeria's leading educational publishers established in 1997, is seeking a highly organised, proactive, and trustworthy Executive Assistant to the Managing Director. In this pivotal role, you will provide comprehensive administrative, operational, and coordination support to drive business efficiency and ensure the seamless execution of the Managing Director's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the Managing Director's calendar, appointments, meetings, and travel schedules with precision.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, comprehensive reports, presentations, and take accurate minutes while tracking action points.
  • Follow up with departmental heads on assigned deliverables, ensuring tasks are completed within deadlines.
  • Assist with procurement activities, including sourcing suppliers, obtaining quotations, and conducting price comparisons.
  • Perform basic financial analysis, calculations, and cost comparisons to support executive decision-making.
  • Maintain proper documentation, filing, and handle confidential business correspondence with utmost discretion.
  • Coordinate internal and external communication on behalf of the Managing Director.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years of proven experience as an Executive Assistant, Personal Assistant, or Administrative Officer.
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Outstanding written, verbal communication, and organizational skills.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professional maturity.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for official business engagements.
