About the Role

We are currently looking for a highly motivated and results-oriented Equity Trader to join our dynamic trading team in Nigeria. In this role, you will execute trading strategies across a range of equity instruments, manage risk effectively, and contribute directly to the overall profitability of the trading desk while maintaining strict compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities- Execute trades across various equity instruments based on thorough market analysis and established trading strategies.
- Monitor real-time market movements and react swiftly to changing economic conditions and market trends.
- Manage risk effectively by implementing stop-loss orders and precise position-sizing strategies.
- Conduct in-depth fundamental and technical analysis of equity markets, including company financials and macroeconomic indicators.
- Manage existing portfolios with a proven track record of achieving consistent returns within the last year.
- Develop, back-test, and refine trading strategies using technical analysis and charting techniques.
- Ensure all trading activities strictly comply with relevant regulations, exchange rules, and internal policies.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in proprietary trading within the financial sector.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- Mandatory possession of the Authorized Dealing Clerk of the Nigerian Stock Exchange certification.
- Strong proficiency in technical analysis, charting techniques, and trading platforms or order management systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative data analysis skills.
