About the Role
Ascentech Services Limited is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced EPC Accountant to join our dynamic team in Abuja. In this role, you will play a critical part in managing the financial and accounting activities associated with complex engineering, procurement, and construction projects, ensuring financial health, accuracy, and strict regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Manage day-to-day accounting activities specifically tailored for EPC projects.
- Monitor project costs, budgets, expenses, and overall financial performance.
- Prepare comprehensive project financial reports, statements, and detailed cost analyses.
- Track project expenditures against approved budgets and identify financial variances.
- Process and reconcile invoices, payments, receivables, and payables efficiently.
- Review vendor and subcontractor invoices alongside supporting documentation.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all project-related financial transactions.
- Support project budgeting, financial forecasting, and effective cash-flow management.
- Reconcile bank accounts, general ledgers, and dedicated project accounts.
- Ensure full compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field of study.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience within an EPC, engineering, construction, oil and gas, or project-based environment.
- Strong working understanding of project accounting and cost control methodologies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and modern accounting or ERP software.
- Exceptional analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Must be currently based in Abuja or genuinely willing to relocate for the role.
