About the Role
Advancing Health for Humanitarian Support Initiative (AIDHealth Inc.) is a dynamic non-profit organization dedicated to improving healthcare access for marginalized and displaced populations in Nigeria. We are currently seeking experienced, dedicated Enumerators to support our upcoming data collection efforts in Kano. In this field role, you will play a critical part in gathering essential insights to drive our evidence-based public health interventions for women, children, and youth.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in household listing and respondent selection utilizing the Kish grid methodology.
- Obtain informed consent from participants, including permissions for future follow-up rounds.
- Conduct structured, 45-minute tablet-based interviews in Hausa within private environments, aiming for approximately four completed interviews daily.
- Adhere strictly to confidentiality protocols, including shifting to neutral topics during interruptions and ensuring no other adults are present during interviews.
- Distribute appreciation tokens and discreet referral cards to participants, while executing established distress protocols when necessary.
- Capture accurate contact details for tracking purposes and ensure daily data synchronization.
- Hold an HND or higher academic qualification.
- Possess a minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience conducting household surveys using tablets or smartphones.
- Must reside in Kano with strong navigational knowledge of the city and peri-urban Local Government Areas (LGAs).
- Native fluency in Hausa paired with good working knowledge of English.
- Demonstrated experience in health, gender, family life, or protection surveys is considered a strong advantage.
- Exhibit patience, respect, non-judgmental attributes, and absolute integrity in data entry.
- Capable of enduring and performing effectively during long field days.
