About the Role
Racham Humanitarian Academy, an initiative of the Racham Empowerment and Humanitarian Foundation (REHF) based in Abuja, is looking for a dedicated and compassionate English Teacher. In partnership with international organizations like World Challenge, our academy is committed to breaking the generational cycle of poverty by providing free basic education, digital training, and practical skills to orphans and vulnerable youths in Nigeria. Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English language and literature lessons tailored to the Junior Secondary School (JSS) level.
- Develop students' reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills through innovative teaching methods.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment conducive to effective learning.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and targeted support where needed.
- Participate in curriculum development and collaborate with fellow educators and international partners on youth empowerment programs.
- Mentor students and encourage personal growth, critical thinking, and a lifelong love for learning.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in English Language, Education, or a related field (NCE holders with strong experience are also encouraged to apply).
- Demonstrated teaching experience, preferably within a JSS educational setting.
- Exceptional command of spoken and written English.
- Strong classroom management, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.
- A deep passion for community service, youth development, and working with vulnerable children.
