About the Role
ABNL Limited, a 100% indigenous oil and gas servicing company established in 1992, is seeking a dedicated and qualified Drilling Project OI Advisor II. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting drilling operations by championing Safety, Security, Health, and Environment (SSHE) initiatives across our project sites in Nigeria, ensuring adherence to the highest industry standards and promoting an injury-free work culture.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the primary Company SSHE representative for drilling projects, rig sites, and transport operations.
- Develop and execute comprehensive operations SSHE plans, emergency management protocols, and site induction programs.
- Monitor contractor and service partner compliance with safety requirements and operational safety plans.
- Conduct rigorous system compliance audits, regular SSHE inspections, and incident investigations.
- Facilitate safety steering committees, daily/weekly SSHE meetings, and targeted safety training programs.
- Proactively identify safety trends and address potential risks to maintain a secure workface in harsh environments.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience in oil and gas safety.
- Advanced knowledge of drilling operations, processes, and relevant SSHE regulations.
- Proven ability to deliver excellence in SSHE performance within harsh offshore or onshore environments.
- Strong technical judgment, leadership, and interpersonal skills to positively influence diverse workforces.
- Proficiency in the MS Office suite and fluent written and spoken English.
- Must meet physical fitness-for-duty requirements for remote drilling locations.
