About the Role
HT-Limited, a premier Business Management Consulting firm, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Electrical Technician to join our dynamic team in Lagos, Nigeria. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the seamless operation, safety, and efficiency of all electrical systems and equipment across our facilities, contributing directly to organizational productivity and reduced downtime.
Key Responsibilities- Install, connect, commission, and maintain three-phase electric motors and associated equipment.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair motor faults, control-circuit problems, and Direct-On-Line (DOL) or Star-Delta starting systems.
- Maintain and troubleshoot motor control panels, contactors, overload relays, circuit breakers, fuses, and protection devices.
- Identify and correct issues including phase loss, overloading, overheating, abnormal current draw, insulation failure, and motor imbalance.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, single-line diagrams, and motor control schematics accurately.
- Carry out routine, preventive, and emergency breakdown repairs to minimize equipment downtime.
- Test motor windings, insulation resistance, continuity, and phase balance while ensuring strict compliance with safety procedures and industry standards.
- OND, HND, or B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in industrial or manufacturing electrical maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, motors, control panels, and mechanical alignment checks.
- Exceptional troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills with great attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage extra hours when required, and operate with minimal supervision.
