About the Role
Dangote Group, Africa's leading industrial conglomerate, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrical Manager to join our power plant operations at Dangote Cement Plc in Lagos, Nigeria. In this critical leadership role, you will drive operational excellence by ensuring the seamless maintenance of electrical equipment, preventing machinery downtime, and upholding the highest standards of safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert electrical engineering oversight for generators, transformers, motors, relays, and cables.
- Inspect electrical systems and components to identify hazards, defects, and ensure code compliance.
- Generate and prioritize work orders, assigning tasks to skilled maintenance personnel.
- Direct staff in resolving complex electrical maintenance issues and drive skill enhancement.
- Devise and implement preventative maintenance schedules based on OEM recommendations.
- Manage procurement actions for necessary spare parts and specialized equipment.
- Prioritize workplace safety, health, and rigorous housekeeping during all maintenance operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 15 years of hands-on experience in a gas turbine-based power plant.
- Comprehensive knowledge of modern electrical systems, generators, transformers, and AVR.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and innovative problem-solving abilities.
