About the Role
Stockgap Fuels Limited is a prominent downstream petroleum and LPG distribution company in Nigeria, committed to operational excellence and safety. We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer / Officer to oversee the upkeep, preventive maintenance, and emergency repair of our plant electrical power distribution and utility systems. In this critical role, you will ensure safe, reliable, and continuous electrical operations across our facilities, contributing directly to our strategic objectives in the energy sector.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and troubleshoot LT/HT panels, Motor Control Centres (MCCs), transformers, generators, electric motors, and comprehensive lighting and earthing systems.
- Test and routinely maintain emergency power backup systems, including heavy-duty industrial generators and UPS units.
- Monitor plant energy usage and overall power consumption, identifying and recommending impactful cost and efficiency improvements.
- Support statutory electrical safety compliance, conduct rigorous earthing protection checks, and enforce strict Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Respond swiftly to electrical faults and emergency breakdowns to minimize operational downtime.
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND (minimum of 2nd Class Upper or Upper Credit) in Electrical Engineering or Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands-on industrial electrical maintenance experience within the downstream petroleum, oil and gas, or process plant sector.
- Professional certifications such as LV/HV switching or industrial electrical safety will be a strong added advantage.
