About the Role
Terra Energy Services Nigeria Limited is a leading indigenous oil and gas engineering solutions provider committed to operational excellence and safety. We are currently seeking a dynamic and technically proficient Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to support our upstream production operations in Lagos and Port-Harcourt. In this critical offshore role, you will play an integral part in maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing electrical, control, and safety systems to guarantee seamless asset reliability.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation, control, and safety systems supporting production operations.
- Diagnose and rectify faults on motors, Motor Control Centres, electrical distribution equipment, transmitters, control valves, PLC, ESD, and Fire & Gas systems.
- Perform instrumentation calibration, loop checks, functional testing, and cause-and-effect verification.
- Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities, commissioning, shutdowns, and equipment reinstatement.
- Inspect and maintain electrical and instrumentation installations in hazardous areas.
- Execute maintenance activities in strict accordance with Permit-to-Work, LOTO, and offshore HSE requirements.
- HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation, Control Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 8 to 12 years of relevant experience within the upstream oil and gas industry.
- CompEx, ISA, City & Guilds, or equivalent professional certifications.
- Valid BOSIET, HUET, and offshore medical certifications.
- Demonstrated expertise in PLC, ESD, and hazardous-area explosion protection systems.
