About the Role
Workforce Group is recruiting an experienced Electrical Engineer on behalf of our client in the manufacturing sector. We are seeking a hands-on professional to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, and efficient operation of electrical systems and production equipment, with specific expertise in PVC extrusion environments.
Key Responsibilities- Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on industrial electrical systems and production machinery.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults rapidly to minimize production downtime.
- Maintain and repair motors, control panels, sensors, variable frequency drives, and related equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve faults in PLCs, automation, and industrial control systems.
- Read and interpret complex electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and control schematics.
- Conduct routine safety inspections to ensure equipment operates at peak efficiency.
- Support the installation, commissioning, and modification of new electrical infrastructure.
- Collaborate closely with mechanical and production teams to resolve technical issues promptly.
- Maintain comprehensive records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and spare parts usage.
- Enforce strict adherence to electrical safety standards and regulatory guidelines.
- Possess a B.Eng, B.Sc, or HND in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on industrial electrical maintenance experience.
- Demonstrated experience in manufacturing, plastics, PVC extrusion, or similar production facilities.
- Solid practical knowledge of PLC systems, industrial automation, control panels, and electrical drives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities tailored for a fast-paced manufacturing plant.
- Proven capability to read and interpret technical electrical schematics accurately.
