About the Role
Aster Bloom Academy, a premier private educational institution located in the prestigious Government Reserved Area (GRA) of Benin City, Edo State, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Edo Language Teacher. Following our recent strategic rebranding from Chucklers Heights Montessori and our exciting expansion into secondary education at our ultra-modern permanent site, we are committed to academic excellence and cultural preservation. We are looking for an inspiring educator who can effectively transmit the richness of the Edo language and traditions to our vibrant student body.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement engaging, curriculum-compliant Edo language lesson plans for primary and secondary students.
- Create an interactive and culturally immersive classroom environment that encourages active student participation.
- Assess, monitor, and record student progress, providing constructive feedback to learners and parents.
- Organize and participate in cultural events, debates, and school programs that promote the Edo heritage.
- Collaborate with fellow faculty members to integrate cultural values across various school activities.
- Minimum of a NCE, Bachelor's Degree in Education, Linguistics, Edo Language, or a related field.
- Proven experience in teaching indigenous languages, preferably Edo, within a structured school environment.
- Deep understanding and appreciation of Edo culture, history, and linguistic nuances.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
