About the Role
M54 Studios is an innovative African theatre production company born from a mission to elevate authentic African storytelling across live theatre, film, and digital platforms. From sold-out UK stage productions to the development of a premium streaming platform, we build cultural IP that travels and redefines how African stories reach global audiences. We are currently seeking a talented Dubbing Director and Dialogue Adaptor to join our dynamic creative team in shaping world-class localized content.
Key Responsibilities- Direct and adapt dialogue for dubbed language versions, ensuring the highest standards of artistic and technical quality.
- Protect original performance integrity and cultural nuance during translation and localization work, including specialized Lingua54 projects.
- Collaborate closely with voice talent, sound engineers, and producers to deliver compelling and believable localized audio.
- Review scripts and adapt source material to fit natural lip-sync requirements and regional linguistic preferences.
- Maintain production schedules and ensure all dubbed content aligns with the creative vision of M54 Studios.
- Proven experience as a Dubbing Director, Dialogue Adaptor, or similar role within the film, television, or audio production industry.
- Deep understanding of African cultures, languages, and storytelling nuances with exceptional linguistic skills.
- Strong ear for vocal performance, timing, lip-sync, and dramatic delivery.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management abilities to guide voice talent effectively.
