About the Role
George Houston Resources Limited (GHR) is a leading HR consulting firm dedicated to helping organizations achieve their corporate objectives. We are currently recruiting a professional Driver to join our dynamic operations team in Lagos and Ogun State. In this role, you will play a critical part in our supply chain by ensuring the safe, timely, and efficient movement of batteries and operational materials between our depots and retail outlets. We are looking for candidates who prioritize road safety, maintain meticulous trip records, and take pride in vehicle maintenance.
Key Responsibilities- Transport batteries and operational materials safely between assigned depot and outlet locations.
- Carry out comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Report vehicle faults, servicing needs, and maintenance requirements promptly.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date trip and vehicle movement records.
- Ensure all dispatched materials are properly documented and accounted for.
- Verify items loaded and delivered against official dispatch records.
- Keep the assigned company vehicle clean, secure, and fully roadworthy at all times.
- Comply strictly with traffic regulations and company safety procedures.
- Report accidents, delays, incidents, and operational irregularities immediately.
- Assist warehouse staff with loading and unloading inventory when required.
- Perform additional logistics duties as assigned by the Depot Manager or Management.
- Minimum of SSCE or OND qualification.
- Possession of a valid driver's licence with verified experience driving trucks.
- Proven professional driving experience with a clean safety record.
- Thorough knowledge of Nigerian road safety regulations and route navigation.
- Ability to read, write clearly, and complete accurate trip documentation.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physically capable of assisting with the loading and unloading of goods.
- Highly reliable, responsible, punctual, and professional.
