About the Role
Marquise Energy Limited is a leading provider of end-to-end engineering and EPC services dedicated to powering critical industries across Nigeria. We are currently seeking three (3) dynamic and highly skilled Drilling Technicians to join our growing operations team. In this pivotal role, you will provide critical support to active rig-site operations, ensuring seamless execution, stringent safety compliance, and optimal well integrity for our assets.
Key Responsibilities- Support active rig-site operations by executing technical data collection, tool preparation, and downhole fluid or mud property monitoring.
- Assist well engineers in coordinating programs for drilling, completions, workovers, wireline logging, and sidetracks.
- Perform advanced mathematical calculations for cement designs, hydraulics, structural load parameters, and daily performance metrics.
- Ensure rig equipment and third-party tools are organized, calibrated, and deployed in accordance with the drilling program.
- Coordinate, operate, and implement well programs including slickline, wellhead, coiled tubing, E-line, and fishing operations.
- Demonstrate safety leadership by ensuring all well intervention and workover programs comply strictly with company EHS policies.
- Manage and maintain well integrity for the asset through meticulous planning, risk register compilation, and barrier reviews.
- Mentor and coach junior colleagues in well intervention engineering, completion engineering, and operational best practices.
- Bachelor Degree or Higher National Diploma in Petroleum Engineering, Geology, or a relevant technical discipline; a Master degree is preferred.
- Specific technical training in well barrier management.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience spanning office-based engineering and active field supervisory positions.
- At least 5 years dedicated to complex, high-risk drilling environments.
