About the Role
Scruples Resources is a leading provider of consultancy, resource development, and human resource solutions across the Nigerian economy. We are currently seeking an experienced Drilling Rig Site Offshore Installation (OI) Advisor II to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be the primary on-site contact for all Safety, Security, Health, and Environment (SSHE) matters, ensuring that our offshore and onshore drilling operations meet the highest standards of safety and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the primary rig-site contact for SSHE issues related to all rig-based drilling activities and execute company safety initiatives.
- Observe safety and health drills conducted on-site and actively participate in debriefing meetings to ensure strict adherence to company standards.
- Facilitate regular safety and health inspections, comprehensive assessments, and rigorous audits on-site.
- Positively influence the drilling workforce, including both direct employees and third-party contractors, to foster a proactive safety culture.
- Respond promptly to requests and questions from the drill team regarding operational safety and environmental protocols.
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health preferred, or equivalent relevant industry experience.
- Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in the oil and gas industry with a focus on offshore and onshore drilling activities.
- Advanced knowledge of drilling operations, safety rules, and regulatory frameworks.
- Strong organizational abilities, technical judgment, and exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in the MS Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Fluent in written and spoken English with the ability to communicate technical information effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to work in harsh environments and multicultural international locales.
- Must be fit for duty for remote offshore environments, capable of physical demands such as climbing, standing, and walking on unpaved surfaces.
