About the Role
Nautilus Nigeria Engineering and Construction Limited is a global leader in oil and gas engineering, project support services, and technical manpower solutions. We are currently seeking a dedicated and proactive Drilling Project OI Advisor II to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this critical role, you will champion Safety, Security, Health, and Environment (SSHE) initiatives, ensuring our drilling projects maintain the highest standards of safety and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the primary Company SSHE representative for drilling projects, rig sites, and transport operations.
- Develop and execute comprehensive SSHE plans, emergency management protocols, and site induction programs.
- Monitor contractor and service partner compliance with all company drilling safety mandates and operations safety plans.
- Conduct rigorous system compliance audits, regular site inspections, and safety assessments.
- Provide immediate support during incidents, participating fully in investigations, root-cause analyses, and mitigation strategies.
- Facilitate drill team safety steering committees and leadership forums to promote an injury-free work culture.
- Address safety trends proactively and communicate company safety vision across all levels of the workforce.
- Bachelor degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience in oil and gas SSHE roles.
- Advanced knowledge of drilling operations, industry processes, and SSHE safety regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to positively influence diverse workforces and contractor behaviors in high-pressure environments.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and technical judgment skills with fluency in English.
- Proficiency in the MS Office suite for reporting and data management.
- Must be fit for duty to work in harsh, remote offshore and onshore environments, including the ability to climb, stand for extended periods, and navigate large structures.
