About the Role
Sagar Vitaceuticals Nigeria Limited, a renowned leader in the Nigerian pharmaceutical industry known for trusted brands like Vitaclox and Vitacillin, is seeking a qualified Dispensing Officer for our ultra-modern facility in Ikeja, Lagos. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the safe, accurate, and efficient dispensing of pharmaceutical products while upholding the highest standards of healthcare service.
Key Responsibilities- Receive, review, and accurately process prescriptions in compliance with standard operating procedures.
- Dispense medications correctly and apply proper labeling with dosage instructions and patient warnings.
- Monitor stock levels, manage inventory, and ensure optimal storage conditions for all pharmaceutical products.
- Check medication expiry dates regularly and safely remove expired or damaged stock.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the dispensing and storage areas.
- Ensure strict adherence to Good Pharmacy Practice (GPP), company policies, and regulatory guidelines.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to resolve prescription discrepancies and report adverse drug reactions.
- OND, HND, or Diploma in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Technology, or a related health science field.
- 2 to 6 years of relevant experience in a pharmacy or pharmaceutical dispensing environment.
- Valid professional registration or licensing where applicable.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products, safety standards, and dispensing procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail, high integrity, and proficiency in pharmacy management software.
