About the Role
Chophouse Bistro & Grills is a popular seafood and native cuisine restaurant located in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria. We are currently seeking a dynamic and talented Disc Jockey (DJ) to elevate our customer experience through exceptional music curation, energy, and creativity. If you have a deep passion for music, an ear for diverse genres, and a knack for reading a room, we would love to have you on our team.
Key Responsibilities- Curate and perform live DJ sets that complement the ambiance of our restaurant and lounge area.
- Read the crowd and seamlessly blend various music genres, including Afrobeat, highlife, hip-hop, and contemporary hits.
- Manage and operate sound equipment, mixers, turntables, and lighting systems professionally.
- Take guest requests professionally while maintaining the overall vibe and brand identity of the restaurant.
- Collaborate with management to plan themed music nights, weekend events, and special dining promotions.
- Ensure all audio equipment is properly maintained, set up, and stored safely after each shift.
- Proven professional experience as a DJ in a restaurant, lounge, bar, or upscale hospitality setting.
- Exceptional knowledge of current musical trends, local Nigerian sounds, and international hits.
- Proficiency in operating standard DJ hardware, software, and sound mixing equipment.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-centric attitude.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Port Harcourt residents or candidates currently based in Rivers State are strongly preferred.
