About the Role
Moniepoint is a leading financial technology company digitizing Africa's real economy by building an innovative financial ecosystem for businesses. We are currently looking for a dynamic and experienced Director, IT Audit to join our team in Lagos, Nigeria, reporting directly to the Chief Audit Officer. In this vital executive position, you will provide strategic leadership for our technology audit function, overseeing risk assessments, evaluating IT governance, and advising executive leadership on mitigating technology risks across cloud environments and enterprise infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute a comprehensive, risk-based annual IT audit plan aligned with corporate objectives and emerging technology trends.
- Direct complex audits covering AWS/GCP cloud architecture, network security, identity and access management, and business continuity.
- Evaluate adherence to major industry frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST, COBIT, and NDPR data privacy laws.
- Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing team of IT auditors and technical specialists to foster continuous professional growth.
- Present critical audit findings, risk evaluations, and practical remediation strategies directly to the Audit Committee and senior executives.
- Drive innovation by embedding automated audit techniques, data analytics, and continuous controls monitoring into the audit lifecycle.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
- Mandatory possession of the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification; additional credentials like CRISC, CISM, or CISSP are highly desirable.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in IT auditing and technology risk management, including at least 4 years in a senior leadership role.
- Deep technical expertise in cloud environments, infrastructure security, application controls, and IT General Controls.
