Key Responsibilities- Identify, curate, and verify trending, breaking, and on-the-spot news videos as they happen globally and locally.
- Edit, trim, format, and publish video content consistently to meet daily posting quotas across platforms.
- Engage actively with the online community by replying to comments, addressing audience inquiries, and sparking meaningful discussions on our pages.
- Monitor social media trends, viral topics, and competitor outputs to ensure Nigerian NewsDirect remains a pioneer in digital news delivery.
- Collaborate with reporters and editors to transform breaking print and digital stories into compelling multimedia formats.
- Proven experience in digital content creation, social media management, or digital journalism.
- Exceptional news judgment with a sharp eye for trending video content and viral potential.
- Proficiency in basic video editing skills, including trimming, adding captions, and watermarking.
- Deep understanding of the algorithms and best practices for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X (Twitter), and YouTube.
- Possession of a reliable high-speed internet connection and a dependable power backup system.
- Fast typing speed, exceptional attention to detail, and clear, polite communication skills.
