We are currently seeking a dynamic and qualified Digital Media Laboratory Technologist to join our vibrant academic community in Abuja. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining state-of-the-art media equipment, supporting faculty members, and guiding students through practical digital media production processes.
Key Responsibilities- Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot all digital media laboratory equipment, hardware, and software systems.
- Provide technical support and guidance to students and faculty during practical sessions, multimedia projects, and laboratory experiments.
- Ensure the laboratory environment complies with safety standards and operational protocols.
- Prepare and set up audio-visual equipment, cameras, editing suites, and other digital tools for classes and examinations.
- Assist in the procurement of new laboratory resources and maintain an accurate inventory of all digital media assets.
- Collaborate with academic staff to integrate emerging digital technologies and industry trends into the curriculum.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mass Communication, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven hands-on experience in managing digital media labs or working in professional broadcast, video production, or multimedia environments.
- Deep understanding of modern audio-visual hardware, editing software, and networking protocols.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural academic environment within Abuja, Nigeria.
