About the Role
Karbak Ventures Limited is a leading industrial engineering firm and general contractor established in 1998, delivering world-class engineering solutions to multinational giants such as Cadbury, Coca-Cola, Guinness, and Nigerian Breweries Plc. We are currently expanding our footprint across West Africa and seeking a dynamic Design and Commercial Engineer (Mechanical) to join our elite team of professionals in Nigeria. In this critical dual-faceted role, you will bridge the gap between technical mechanical engineering and commercial execution, ensuring our projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities- Develop detailed mechanical engineering designs, perform complex calculations, and optimize overall project performance using advanced software.
- Prepare comprehensive cost estimates, conduct value engineering, build competitive project proposals, and participate in client contract negotiations.
- Collaborate closely with procurement teams to develop technical specifications and critically evaluate supplier and vendor proposals.
- Provide ongoing technical guidance during project execution, coordinate seamlessly with construction teams, and manage design changes efficiently.
- Identify potential operational risks, formulate proactive mitigation strategies, and integrate risk management into initial project planning.
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary engineering teams, project managers, cost estimators, and schedulers to ensure unified project delivery.
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
- 2 to 4 years of hands-on professional experience in an industrial engineering or contracting environment.
- Proficiency in industry-standard CAD and CAE software including AutoCAD 3D, SolidWorks, PipeFlow, ANSYS, and Aspen HYSYS.
- Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Microsoft Project for effective scheduling and documentation.
