About the Role
BOURBON Oil & Gas is a global leader in marine services, delivering operational excellence across continental and deepwater offshore sectors. We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Deputy Security Manager to join our team in Nigeria. In this critical role, you will lead impartial security investigations, safeguard our personnel, assets, and vessels, and ensure robust compliance with Nigerian laws and international maritime standards.
Key Responsibilities- Lead impartial security investigations into incidents, unlawful acts, losses, and serious threats affecting personnel, shore bases, vessels, and offshore facilities.
- Support the Country Security Manager in protecting company infrastructure, land journeys, and maritime operations.
- Assume full security management responsibilities during the absence of the Country Security Manager, ensuring operational continuity.
- Plan and conduct non-coercive interviews, gather and preserve evidence securely, and maintain a strict chain of custody.
- Analyze security breaches, assess loss exposure, and draft comprehensive, fact-based investigation reports with actionable recommendations.
- Exercise Stop Work Authority in the event of imminent threats while adhering to maritime command structures and company protocols.
- Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminology, Law, Risk Management, Maritime Studies, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant security experience, including at least 5 years leading investigations and 3 years in a supervisory capacity.
- Professional certifications such as ASIS PCI, CPP, CFE, or comparable recognized credentials.
- Completed ISPS internal-auditor training and thorough knowledge of OCIMF OVMSA expectations.
- Strong understanding of Nigerian maritime security requirements, local laws, and emergency response procedures.
