About the Role
The Dangote Group is seeking a skilled and dedicated Deputy Engineer - Electrical Maintenance to join our dynamic operations in Lagos, Nigeria. In this role, you will provide critical maintenance support to plant sections, minimizing downtime and ensuring the steady availability of electrical equipment to meet ambitious production targets.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise the installation, testing, operation, and maintenance of electrical equipment in compliance with top quality and safety standards.
- Execute maintenance and servicing for Circuit Breakers, Transformers, MCC, PCC, MV and LV Switch Boards, HT/LT Motors, VFDs, and earth systems.
- Manage spare parts inventory effectively to guarantee smooth, uninterrupted plant operations.
- Provide daily job allocation, technical guidance, and skills training to subordinates.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation including power reports, maintenance checklists, and daily job execution reports.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant post-qualification electrical maintenance experience in a heavy industrial setting.
- Extensive technical knowledge of Low, Medium, and High Voltage systems, industrial automation, and CMMS tools.
- Strong familiarity with ISO 9000 standards, TPM methodologies, and industrial safety legislation.
