About the Role
Cirvee, an ACTD-accredited design academy dedicated to nurturing top-tier tech talent, is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Cyber Security Tutor to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis in Lagos State, Nigeria. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the future of aspiring cybersecurity professionals by delivering engaging, hands-on education that bridges the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world application.
Key Responsibilities- Design and deliver comprehensive, practical cybersecurity lessons covering network security, secure coding fundamentals, threat analysis, and basic incident response.
- Prepare high-quality instructional materials and supervise hands-on lab sessions to simulate real-world security scenarios.
- Evaluate student assignments, projects, and lab work while providing constructive, actionable feedback.
- Contribute to ongoing curriculum development and the continuous improvement of course content to align with industry standards.
- Mentor students on career pathways, professional growth, and best practices in the cybersecurity landscape.
- Collaborate with academic staff to maintain consistent teaching standards and foster an inclusive, supportive learning environment.
- Demonstrated core cybersecurity skills, including vulnerability assessment, threat identification, and basic incident response techniques.
- Solid understanding of network and system security principles, such as firewalls, access controls, authentication, and secure OS configurations.
- Familiarity with industry-standard cybersecurity tools like vulnerability scanners, packet analysis utilities, and basic SIEM platforms.
- Exceptional communication and teaching skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse learners.
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or equivalent practical industry experience.
- Relevant industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CISSP are strongly preferred.
- Prior experience in teaching, technical training, or mentoring is a distinct advantage.
