About the Role
Al-Hikmah University, a premier private conventional university established in 2005 in Ilorin, Nigeria, is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Cyber Security Instructor to join our esteemed faculty. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in equipping our students with cutting-edge cybersecurity skills to combat modern digital threats and contribute to national economic growth.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, practical lab sessions, and seminars in various cybersecurity domains to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Develop, update, and review curriculum materials, course outlines, and training modules in line with current industry standards and global best practices.
- Mentor and guide students on academic projects, research initiatives, and career pathways in the information security sector.
- Assess student performance through examinations, practical tests, and continuous evaluations, providing constructive feedback for improvement.
- Participate in departmental meetings, academic committees, and university events to support institutional growth and community development.
- Possess a minimum of a Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related relevant discipline from a recognized institution.
- Relevant professional certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent industry credentials will be a distinct advantage.
- Demonstrated experience in teaching, training, or practical cybersecurity implementation within an academic or corporate environment.
- Strong passion for imparting knowledge and upholding the moral and ethical values of the university.
