About the Role
HBM Nigeria Plc (Formerly Lafarge), a leading name in building solutions and sustainable development, is looking for a dedicated and experienced Crusher Operator to join our dynamic team at the Mfamosing plant. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our production process by ensuring raw materials are efficiently crushed to support continuous plant operations while upholding our strict health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor control parameters of the entire crushing operation through the mimic board or ECS screen to maintain optimal process requirements.
- Ensure personal safety and the safety of colleagues, actively managing LOTOTO registration during maintenance activities.
- Conduct first-level inspections before start-up, ranging from pry belts to the crusher platform.
- Perform daily operations of the Crusher(s) ECS Central Control Room and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Record hourly performance data, including operating times, resumption times, stoppages, and causes, in relevant logbooks and forms.
- Liaise regularly with the quality team regarding raw material sample analysis and follow up on results.
- Prepare comprehensive daily and monthly reports on crushed materials and plant delays.
- Contribute to failure and problem analysis, recommending corrective actions to improve plant efficiency.
- Participate in company safety programs, monthly safety meetings, and quarterly firefighting training.
- Assist the maintenance team during plant shutdowns and preventive maintenance routines (PMR).
- Possession of an Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in a similar crusher operation role, preferably within a manufacturing or cement production environment.
- Working knowledge of cement manufacturing processes, including raw meal preparation, burning, combustion, grinding, and packing.
- Demonstrated commitment to high safety standards with a strong understanding of relevant safety laws and regulations.
- Ability to work effectively in a team, communicate clearly with shift leaders, and maintain orderly workplace housekeeping.
