About the Role
Ascentech Services Limited is seeking a dynamic and experienced Credit Manager to join our growing team in Nigeria. In this role, you will be pivotal in evaluating financing applicants, managing credit risk, and ensuring the sustainability of our lending portfolio through rigorous assessment frameworks.
Key Responsibilities- Assess new financing applicants using data from Territory Development Officers, field verifications, and credit officers.
- Enforce strict adherence to prescribed credit assessment processes and underwriting guidelines.
- Oversee credit scoring, financial analysis, KYC compliance, and comprehensive loan documentation.
- Monitor active portfolios closely to identify and mitigate potential credit risks early.
- Supervise, mentor, and guide credit officers and analysts to enhance team efficiency and accuracy.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Banking and Finance, or a related discipline.
- Professional qualifications such as ICAN, ACCA, CIBN, CFA, or a recognized credit/risk management certification are a strong advantage.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience in credit management, lending, risk management, banking, fintech, BNPL, or asset financing.
- At least 2-3 years of proven experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
- In-depth knowledge of credit underwriting, financial statement analysis, and portfolio monitoring.
