About the Role
HRLeverage Africa is recruiting on behalf of its client, a leading pharmacy credit infrastructure and pharmaceutical supply company, to appoint a dynamic and results-driven Country Manager. In this executive leadership role, you will spearhead the Nigerian business through its next phase of rapid growth and rebuilding, taking full ownership of sales, profitability, working capital, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Own overall Nigeria business performance, strategic execution, and profitability.
- Drive aggressive B2B sales targets to reach ₦500M per month by Month 6 and ₦1B per month by Month 12.
- Manage high-value key pharmacy and pharmaceutical wholesale accounts.
- Lead and mentor the Business Development, Credit & Recovery, Collections, and Operations teams.
- Drive customer acquisition, revenue expansion, and long-term client retention.
- Oversee working capital, cash flow, and collections, maintaining a strict collection rate of 97.5% and above.
- Build strategic relationships with key industry stakeholders and provide comprehensive performance reports to the CEO.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Pharmacy, Economics, or a related discipline.
- 7 to 10 years of progressive experience in commercial, sales, operations, or general management.
- At least 3 years of demonstrable P&L management experience with significant business volume.
- Proven track record of scaling revenue and leading high-performing teams across multiple locations.
- Industry background in pharmaceuticals, FMCG, fintech, banking, microfinance, trade credit, or B2B distribution.
- Deep understanding of sales dynamics, credit risk, collections, and working capital management.
- Proficiency in advanced Excel or Google Sheets alongside robust financial reporting skills.
- Fluency in both English and Yoruba is mandatory.
- Based in Ibadan or fully willing to relocate.
- Willingness to travel regularly with access to a reliable personal vehicle.
- Currently operating in a similar senior-level leadership role.
- Competitive gross monthly salary ranging from ₦1.2M to ₦1.5M.
- Uncapped 5% profit share upon exceeding break-even targets.
- Performance-based equity grant of 0.25% to 0.50% after 12 months of service.
