We are looking for an entrepreneurial and visionary Country Director to lead our operations and growth strategy in Nigeria, empowering digitally disconnected communities through innovative digital solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Build and execute the Nigeria growth strategy, prioritizing sectors, accounts, and funding opportunities based on organizational strengths and market potential.
- Lead proactive outreach, discovery, and co-design of impactful mobile-based solutions tailored to partners' unique challenges.
- Personally develop winning proposals, concept notes, scopes of work, and accurate budgets to ensure financial sustainability.
- Nurture senior partner relationships across UN agencies, NGOs, and the development sector to secure contract renewals and expansion.
- Lead the Nigeria Country Crew, aligning program managers and platform teams around shared priorities and seamless sales-to-delivery handovers.
- Represent Viamo with government bodies, mobile network operators, and key stakeholders while integrating AI and digital tools intelligently into workflows.
- Proven track record of personally originating, pitching, and closing significant business contracts in Nigeria.
- Deep understanding of the Nigerian development ecosystem, with established trusted relationships among UN agencies and NGOs.
- Demonstrated expertise in proposal writing, budget development, and grant procurement routes.
- Strong entrepreneurial drive, self-management, and collaborative leadership skills with the ability to influence senior decision-makers.
- Applied AI literacy with a clear understanding of its professional benefits and limitations.
- Desirable experience designing inclusive digital solutions or working with ICT4D and telecommunications regulations.
