About the Role
Givanas Group of Companies is a leading manufacturer and distributor of fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) in Nigeria, offering popular household products including milk, tea, canned seafood, and bath soap. We are currently seeking a dedicated and analytical Cost Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a crucial part in optimizing our manufacturing processes, ensuring financial accuracy, and driving cost-efficiency across our supply chain operations to better serve the Nigerian market.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze production costs and maintain the Bill of Materials and standard cost database to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Conduct regular variance analysis and comprehensive cost audits to identify financial discrepancies and operational inefficiencies.
- Support the annual budgeting and financial forecasting processes in collaboration with senior management.
- Drive strategic cost-saving initiatives by partnering closely with the production and supply chain teams.
- Prepare detailed financial reports and provide actionable insights to management for effective decision-making.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 4 to 6 years of proven cost accounting experience, preferably within the FMCG or manufacturing sector.
- Professional certification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA will be considered a strong added advantage.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with prior experience using SAP or similar ERP systems.
- Strong analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
