About the Role
Neveah Limited is a leading commodities trading and manufacturing company in Nigeria, specializing in solid minerals, agricultural products, and recycling operations. We are currently seeking a meticulous and driven Cost Accountant to oversee the financial performance of our aluminum and copper recycling plant. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring cost efficiency, managing inventory valuation, and driving robust financial controls that support our strategic growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze production costs, including raw materials, labor, and overhead expenses, to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Develop comprehensive cost reports, variance analyses, and profitability metrics for various product lines.
- Manage the accurate valuation, allocation, and reconciliation of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods inventory.
- Collaborate with finance and operations teams to formulate annual budgets and reliable financial forecasts.
- Implement and monitor effective cost control measures across the plant to optimize operational efficiency.
- Ensure strict compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
- Utilize advanced ERP systems and Excel to track real-time costs and support internal and external audits.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Active professional accounting certification such as ACA, ACCA, or CMA is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 7 years of proven cost accounting experience, ideally within the manufacturing or recycling sector.
- Strong proficiency in ERP systems like SAP or Oracle, coupled with advanced Excel skills.
