About the Role
IOTA Group is a trusted global HR and technical assistance partner in the energy, industry, and infrastructure sectors. We are currently recruiting a skilled Contracts Engineer / Buyer on behalf of our client in Nigeria to manage the pre-award preparation, negotiation, award, and administration of contracts for works, goods, and services. In this role, you will protect the company's commercial interests, monitor relevant markets, and support contractor performance management to drive operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Organize and control process-based activities for offshore service contracts, including strategies, pre-qualifications, tender lists, ITT issues, tender analysis, and negotiations.
- Collaborate with technical partners to build supplier relationships and monitor performance through active contract management.
- Deploy local TGP strategy in compliance with governance and global category management guidelines.
- Contribute to the 3C program by delivering cost savings without compromising HSEQ standards.
- Mitigate project risks through proactive management and negotiation of contractual disputes and claims.
- Utilize supply chain tools such as SAP, E-Sourcing, and AGORA to maintain up-to-date and fully auditable portfolio information.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Management, Social Sciences, or a Supply Chain-related discipline.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with at least 2 years specifically as a Contracts Engineer.
- Membership in relevant professional supply chain or operational bodies is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and enterprise supply chain software.
- Strong understanding of commercial, legal, and insurance issues within the energy sector.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
