Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex (OAUTHC) is seeking a qualified and dedicated Consultant Specialist Grade I in Surgery with a focus on Urology and Renal Transplant to join our esteemed medical team in Ile-Ife, Osun State. Key Responsibilities- Provide specialized surgical care and advanced urological services, including renal transplant procedures, to patients at OAUTHC.
- Conduct thorough clinical evaluations, diagnoses, and develop comprehensive treatment plans for complex urological conditions.
- Supervise, mentor, and train resident doctors, medical students, and other allied healthcare professionals.
- Participate actively in departmental ward rounds, multidisciplinary clinics, and emergency surgical call rosters.
- Engage in clinical research and quality improvement initiatives to enhance healthcare delivery standards within the hospital.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic and patient-centered care.
- Possession of an MBBS, MBChB, or equivalent primary medical qualification from a recognized institution.
- Full registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) along with a current practicing license.
- Evidence of completion, exemption, or exclusion from the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme.
- A relevant postgraduate medical fellowship qualification, such as the Fellowship of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria (FMCN) or the Fellowship of the West African College of Surgeons (FWACS), specifically in Surgery.
