About the Role
Dragnet Solutions, a leading human resources and recruitment technology consultancy in Nigeria, is partnering with a prestigious healthcare client to recruit a dedicated and skilled Consultant OBGYN in Kaduna. In this vital role, you will deliver comprehensive specialist obstetrics and gynaecology care, oversee patient pathways, and ensure the highest standards of clinical governance and patient safety within the facility.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert specialist assessment, diagnosis, and management for obstetrics and gynaecology patients, including complex and high-risk cases.
- Act as the primary senior referral point, offering guidance, supervision, and mentorship to junior medical officers and trainees.
- Drive clinical governance, medical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and rigorous patient-safety protocols.
- Collaborate seamlessly with multidisciplinary teams, including diagnostics, pharmacy, nursing, and HMO functions, to deliver cost-effective, evidence-based care.
- Maintain precise, timely clinical documentation in full compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS or MBChB) from a recognized institution with completed housemanship and NYSC (or valid exemption).
- Valid and current practicing licence and registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
- Minimum of 3 years of post-fellowship specialist experience in obstetrics and gynaecology, with a proven track record of managing complex cases independently.
- Demonstrated expertise in teaching, training, and supervising medical staff.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
- Additional sub-specialty training, relevant certifications, or active membership in professional specialty associations will be an added advantage.
