About the Role
Bergstein Hospital, a leading private multi-specialist healthcare facility in Ikorodu, Lagos, is looking for a dedicated and experienced Consultant Cardiologist to join our dynamic medical team. In this role, you will champion our patient-centered approach, providing top-tier cardiovascular care and driving excellence in clinical outcomes across Bergstein Health Systems.
Key Responsibilities- Provide specialist cardiovascular consultations, accurate diagnoses, and comprehensive treatment plans.
- Manage patients with acute and chronic cardiac conditions, ensuring rigorous follow-up care.
- Request, interpret, and review relevant diagnostic investigations such as ECGs and echocardiograms.
- Perform specialized cardiac procedures and interventions within your area of clinical competence.
- Collaborate seamlessly with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated, holistic patient care.
- Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date medical records in line with hospital policies.
- Educate patients and their families regarding heart health, treatment options, and preventative care.
- Uphold the highest standards of professional ethics, clinical guidelines, and patient safety.
- A recognized medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
- Relevant postgraduate specialist qualification in Cardiology (e.g., FWACP, FMCP, or equivalent).
- Current registration and a valid practicing license with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
- Demonstrable clinical experience practicing as a Consultant Cardiologist.
