About the Role
Lovonus Microfinance Bank is a trusted, CBN-licensed and NDIC-insured financial institution dedicated to empowering micro, small, and medium-scale enterprises with cost-effective financial services. We are currently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Compliance Manager to join our professional team at our Head Office in Lagos Mainland. In this critical role, you will be responsible for safeguarding the bank's operational integrity by enforcing strict adherence to regulatory standards, driving our anti-money laundering initiatives, and managing potential risks across all traditional and digital channels.
Key Responsibilities- Formulate, update, and implement comprehensive compliance, regulatory, and AML/CFT policies across the bank.
- Monitor daily operations to ensure full compliance with Central Bank of Nigeria directives and NDIC regulations.
- Prepare and submit accurate statutory returns promptly to regulatory bodies including the CBN, NIBSS, and NFIU.
- Manage regulatory reporting portals such as goAML, RapidAML, NIBSS fraud portal, and BankOne software.
- Oversee robust Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) and Know Your Customer (KYC) onboarding frameworks.
- Conduct periodic compliance reviews, risk assessments, and internal audits across operations and branches.
- Investigate and report suspicious transactions, fraud attempts, and any regulatory breaches immediately.
- Support regulatory inspections and act as the primary liaison with external regulators and auditors.
- Bachelor Degree or HND in Law, Banking and Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5 to 7 years of cognate experience in regulatory compliance, risk management, or internal control within a bank or microfinance institution.
- In-depth understanding of CBN microfinance regulations, NFIU AML/CFT guidelines, and NDIC requirements.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience using core banking software and regulatory reporting portals.
- Professional certifications such as ACIN, CIBN MCP, or CAMS will be a strong added advantage.
- Must reside in Lagos and possess exceptional analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
- Competitive salary package ranging from N250,000 to N350,000 monthly.
