About the Role
Akintola Williams Deloitte, the esteemed Nigerian member firm of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited, is looking for a dynamic Compliance Manager to join our professional services team in Lagos. In this role, you will safeguard the firm's integrity by developing robust compliance frameworks, managing regulatory relationships, and mitigating operational risks.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and oversee control systems to prevent or address violations of legal, regulatory, and internal policy requirements.
- Monitor compliance with applicable laws, regulations, guidelines, and industry standards, staying abreast of regulatory developments.
- Conduct comprehensive compliance risk assessments to identify, measure, monitor, and mitigate risks across the organization.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for compliance-related queries, providing risk-based advice and guidance to management and business units.
- Support the implementation and monitoring of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorism Financing (CTF) controls.
- Collaborate with Legal, HR, Risk Management, and Internal Audit to ensure compliance requirements are embedded in operations.
- Prepare and submit accurate compliance reports for senior management, regulators, and relevant stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Professional compliance certification such as CAMS, ICA, CRCM, or equivalent is an added advantage.
- 5 to 7 years of progressive experience in Compliance, Risk Management, Internal Control, or Audit within a regulated industry.
- Strong understanding of AML/CFT regulations, sanctions compliance, and financial crime risk management.
