About the Role
SNV is an international development organization committed to building a world free of poverty where all people can pursue sustainable development. SNV Nigeria is seeking a dynamic, digitally savvy Communications Intern or National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member for our Abuja Country Programme. In this role, you will support our communications, branding, and marketing materials to enhance SNV’s visibility and drive impactful business development.
Key Responsibilities- Support the creation of engaging digital content, including infographics and photographs, for platforms like the website, Facebook, Instagram, and Viva Engage.
- Assist in developing impact stories, success narratives, and case studies for reports, newsletters, and fact sheets.
- Collaborate with project teams to produce basic graphics, presentations, and short videos using digital design tools.
- Organize, manage, and archive project photographs, videos, and digital records on SharePoint.
- Document workshops, field visits, stakeholder meetings, and project events to translate technical data into accessible content.
- Monitor digital engagement metrics and assist with basic reporting and analytics.
- Bachelor degree or Higher National Diploma in Mass Communication, Public Relations, Journalism, Digital Media, Marketing, or a related field.
- Must be a current NYSC member with valid deployment to Abuja, or a recent graduate with a maximum of one year of post-NYSC experience.
- Strong writing, verbal communication, and visual storytelling skills.
- Familiarity with digital tools and design platforms such as Canva, Microsoft Office 365, and basic video editing software.
- A proactive, collaborative mindset with a strong passion for international development.
