About the Role

Carifika Network for Sustainable Development (CNSD) Nigeria is a subsidiary of Carifika Global in Canada, operating across the African and Caribbean regions to build a harmonious and prosperous society. Our vital initiatives span health, education, WASH, peace-building, governance, and cultural preservation. We are currently seeking a passionate and driven Volunteer Communication & Public Relations Officer to amplify our mission, enhance our public profile, and engage stakeholders across Nigeria. Residents in Nyanya, Karu, Orozo, and surrounding areas in Abuja are strongly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute effective communication and public relations strategies to promote CNSD Nigeria's programs.
  • Draft engaging press releases, newsletters, social media content, and blog posts to highlight community projects.
  • Manage organizational social media channels and enhance digital engagement with stakeholders and the public.
  • Assist in organizing community outreach events, press conferences, and stakeholder engagement forums.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with media outlets, partner organizations, and community leaders.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience or academic background in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools, social media management, and content creation.
  • Deep passion for community development, social impact, and sustainable initiatives.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team and meet assigned deadlines.
