About the Role
Shehu Shagari Model Islamic Centre (SSMIC) is a prominent integrated educational institution located at the Shehu Shagari Central Mosque, Area 1, Section 2, Garki, Abuja. The centre serves as a beacon of academic excellence and spiritual development, blending conventional Nigerian educational curriculum with profound Islamic and moral guidance. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Class Teacher to join our esteemed primary school team and help shape the minds of the next generation.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging primary school lessons in alignment with the Nigerian conventional curriculum and Islamic values.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment conducive to effective learning and character building.
- Assess, monitor, and record students' academic progress and personal development, providing constructive feedback to students and parents.
- Supervise classroom activities, maintain student attendance records, and ensure the safety and well-being of all pupils.
- Participate in school staff meetings, professional development workshops, and extracurricular school events.
- Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree (B.Ed, B.A, B.Sc) or HND in Education or a relevant academic field.
- Minimum of three (3) years of proven teaching experience in a recognized primary school setting.
- Strong knowledge of the Nigerian primary education curriculum and modern pedagogical approaches.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
