About the Role
Bridgemead Consulting, a leading holistic and innovative business consultancy, is seeking a visionary and results-driven Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join our client in the agricultural sector. In this executive role, you will provide strategic leadership and comprehensive oversight of all operational functions across plantation management, milling, refining, and logistics. The ideal candidate will champion operational efficiency, drive productivity, and maximize profitability while ensuring seamless alignment with our long-term corporate growth objectives in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee daily operations spanning plantation, milling, refining, and distribution logistics.
- Develop, communicate, and execute robust operational strategies aligned with overarching business goals.
- Drive cost optimization and operational efficiency across all production and supply chain units.
- Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, environmental, and statutory regulatory standards.
- Monitor production performance rigorously, implementing continuous improvement initiatives to exceed targets.
- Collaborate closely with finance to manage budgets, forecasts, and strict cost-control measures.
- Lead, mentor, and supervise senior operational managers and departmental heads.
- Optimize the entire supply chain and distribution network for maximum agility.
- Establish and track operational KPIs and performance metrics to guarantee accountability.
- Support strategic business expansion, new investments, and high-impact corporate initiatives.
- MSc, BSc, or HND in Agriculture, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- An MBA or relevant executive management certification is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in operations management.
- At least 5 years in a senior executive leadership role within the agribusiness, manufacturing, or supply chain sector.
