Key Responsibilities- Lead and develop a high-performing engineering team through effective recruitment, training, supervision, and mentorship.
- Ensure strict safety and compliance by overseeing the maintenance of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and life safety systems in line with regulations.
- Manage daily maintenance operations, prioritize tasks via the property management system, and ensure rapid resolution of guest issues.
- Support property improvement projects, capital rehabilitations, budgeting, and contractor bidding processes.
- Lead property-wide energy efficiency initiatives and conservation programs to optimize utility costs.
- Monitor departmental KPIs, equipment upkeep, and team productivity to continuously drive engineering performance.
- Collaborate with hotel leadership on emergency evacuation procedures and safety protocols.
- Degree or equivalent certification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience within the hospitality, real estate, or facility management sector.
- Strong knowledge of local Nigerian building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing and developing multidisciplinary technical teams.
