About the Role
Fairtex Nigeria Ltd is a leading provider of professional services to the Oil & Gas, Refinery, Marine, Petro-Chemical, LNG, and Construction industries, specializing in EPCIM solutions. We are currently seeking a highly competent, experienced, and results-driven Chief Accounting Officer to lead and oversee our accounting and financial reporting functions. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, implementing effective financial controls, driving statutory and regulatory compliance, and delivering timely financial reporting to support strategic business decisions across our operations.
Key Responsibilities- Direct and oversee all accounting and financial operations, including general ledger management, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS and Nigerian reporting standards.
- Manage tax planning, compliance, and filings with relevant regulatory authorities in Nigeria.
- Develop and implement robust internal financial controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.
- Coordinate internal and external audit processes to ensure transparent and accurate financial reporting.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to guide executive leadership in strategic decision-making.
- Utilize ERP and accounting systems such as SAP, Oracle, Sage, or QuickBooks to streamline financial workflows and reporting.
- Bachelor Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Must be a qualified member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).
- 5 to 7 years of relevant post-qualification experience in accounting, finance, or auditing within a corporate environment.
- Strong expertise in IFRS, Nigerian tax laws, financial budgeting, and regulatory compliance.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and major ERP accounting software platforms.
